Meaning: There was a time when we were not so concerned with the entire narrative of a damn pop star and just enjoyed listening to music from time to time. We liked it so we listened and it was that easy. And if you don’t like the tuneage, cool, don’t listen. But if your dislike is some kind of “I disagree with this music (?) on principal because mine are totally beyond reproach” thing then get off my lawn.
