You have to remember that west of Winnipeg the ridings the Liberals hold are dominated by people who are either recent Asian immigrants or recent migrants from Eastern Canada; people who live in ghettos and are not integrated into Western Canadian society.

And when my Canadian friends get all beligerent and puffed up and self righteous about how ‘awful’ the USA is I just laugh to myself and nod and say “yes, yes, that is true. You DO live in Narnia”.  Now let’s see if, in light of the Harper governments proposed de-funding of Planned Parenthood, the apathy can be overcome.  Or if, as usual, everyone will just continue to be entranced by the NHL playoffs.
